Relying on Fundraising and Donations to pay for core educational programs in CUSD creates wealth based inequities that violate the civil rights of those students who attend schools that cannot afford to fundraise.

Illegal Donations include fundraising for:

  • Instructional Aids
  • Professional Development for Teachers
  • Leadership Conference for Staff
  • Science programs
  • Math Programs
  • PE Programs

87% of CUSD's Budget goes to employee Salaries Pensions and Benefits. Employees have received 5 consecutive years of across the board compensation increases totaling over $150 million. They have been allowed to do that thanks to the generous donations of parents and taxpayers.

There are 977 School Districts in the State of California. If donations to support schools are averaging $400,000 per month, that is $4.8 million per year per district... $4.5 BILLION A YEAR IN MORE TAXES FOR CALIFORNIA'S K-12 Public Schools. The Unions are laughing all the way to the bank!

CUSD Staff thanks the Public for there VOLUNTARY generous donations every time this subject is brought up at a board meeting.
