CUSD spends more per pupil on Professional Development than it does on Books and Supplies. This one training session cost the District over $120,000.00
page 328 Principal hired for Esencia K-8 School which is now not going to be opened on time. At the October 12, 2016 BOT meeting CUSD announced that it had hired Joshua Welikson to the position of Principal at the new Esencia K-8 School which is now not opening in the Fall of 2017. Mr Welikson is being paid an annual salary of $141,308 per year. |
Professional Development and Staff Training are now taking up more and more time and money away from students.

There are 105 employees receiving Technology Training.
18 hours X $30 per hour = $540 per employee X 105 employees = $56,700.00
Then CUSD has to pay a sub to do replace the employees while they are at training.
105 subs 18 hours X $30 = $540 per employee X 105 employees = $56,700.00
Then CUSD has to pay for the actual training.
105 employees X the training fee (?).
The total is over $120,000.00 for this one training session
