Saddleback Valley Unified School District has a very easy to use and understand 4- year guidance plan that helps students stay on track to graduate prepared to enter a selective 4-year college or university.
Saddleback requires every student to take three years of high school math to graduate. CUSD only requires students to take 2 years of high school math.
CUSD amended Board Policy 6146.1 Graduation Requirements. Starting with the class of 2020 CUSD will require all students to take a minimum of 3 years high school math and pass Algebra I with a D to graduate.
National Common Core would push Districts to require math all 4- years in High School and require every student to complete Algebra I - Geometry - Algebra II/Trig with a grade of "C" to graduate.
